Worst Reading Interface, Ever, in the New York Times
It’s a flash interface that allows you to read a couple paragraphs, then you have to click to “the next page” to read the next few. That’s fail #1. Fail #2 is the constantly scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen. But remember that click to see every couple of paragraphs? Fail #3 is when you do that, it shows your page, then a full-page ad slides over top of the content, completely obscuring it for ten seconds.
I will never read anything here again. Despicable.
(Link via Kottke, for the story, which seemed interesting, but I couldn’t/wouldn’t finish reading it under that assault. That company (same for every ad) can pretty much guarantee I’ll never patronize them.)
