Merlin Mann Brings Out the Best in Seth Godin →
Don’t miss this. Perhaps 15-20% of the time I feel a little iffy about Seth Godin’s stuff. Perhaps it’s just because he does “marketing”. But I never feel iffy about Merlin, and he brings out the 80-85% of Seth I really like. (34 minute audio interview) Seth’s new book Linchpin sounds like a must read.

Never Dupe Your Readers - Davidson on Calacanis →
(note: read into the comments where Calacanis shows up to defend his actions) I’m with Mike on this one. Calacanis had me going for a few minutes, until I clicked through and saw the totality of his tweets… I don’t follow him (I did once, until I realized I just signed up for the Mahalo hype list) and was only seeing pieces come through the rest of the tech world. In a ruling that has major implications for how elections are funded, the Supreme Court has struck down a key campaign-finance restriction that bars corporations and unions from pouring money into political ads. […] and potentially opens the door for unrestricted amounts of corporate money to flow into American politics.

Questions about the Meaning of the Mass Senate...
If you voted for Scott Brown because you honestly believe in the policies he supports, congratulations. If the majority of Massachusetts citizens truly supported the policies Brown endorses, I wouldn’t feel so upset this morning. But I think it’s clear that’s not the case. Voters were pissed off for a number of reasons, and voted for Brown as a protest vote, as is,...
